Dear Doctor,
I am using Wheezal Eye Bright Eye Drops(image attached) and experience burning/stinging after putting them in my eyes. An ophthalmologist advised me not to use such homeopathic eye drops, saying they may irritate or damage the eyes.
Is this burning normal ? Are these drops safe for long-term use, or can they harm the eyes?
I do not have any eye disease. I use Wheezal Eye Bright Eye Drops only for routine eye care.

Mild stinging or burning after using any eye drop can occur due to sensitivity to the ingredients or preservatives, but persistent burning, redness, irritation, or discomfort should not be ignored. Since eyes are very sensitive organs, any eye product used regularly should ideally be evaluated for safety and suitability.
Next Steps
As you do not have any diagnosed eye condition and are using the drops only for routine care, it would be suggestable not to use them when you are reacting to that product. A homeopathic consultation can help assess your overall eye-related concerns and suggest appropriate supportive measures if there is a concern, but any over the counter medications are generally not suggested.
Health Tips
Avoid using eye drops without a specific need, avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye if using eye drops ever, and maintain good eye hygiene.

Using eye drops for regular use when you have no eye problems is not advised. Homeopathic eye drops are medicated and can cause irritation. My suggestion would be to stop medicines and consult a nearby homeopathic physician

Hai,
Burning sensation is due to its alcohol content and this sensation is not common for all. Eye bright eye is prescribed rarely for dry eyes and will recommend to stop after 1 week. Commonly NO ALCOHOL eyes drops are also available in the market and you can use it but only for short duration.
You can maintain healthy eyes using homoeopathic constitutional internal medicines.

You can easily take an online consultation, book video consultation for further tretment guidance.
Have you consulted any doctor before using the drop 💧??.No medicine is advised to use without consultation,,.In the case of a wheezal eye drop,, stop using it if you are experiencing irritation, because individually you are not suitable for it...
Further you can try to connect online and let me know what the ophthalmologist reports about your eyes and with the proper case analysis the issue will be resolved then..So don't worry..

My Dear Patient,
The burning/stinging you feel is likely due to the alcohol or preservatives present in homeopathic eye drops — this is a common side effect.
Your ophthalmologist's concern is valid. These drops are not clinically proven for eye care and are not recommended for long-term use, especially in healthy eyes with no disease.
My advice:
Stop using Wheezal Eye Bright drops
If your eyes feel dry or tired, use plain lubricating/artificial tear drops (like Refresh Tears or I-Drops) — these are safe and well-studied
No eye drops are needed for "routine care" in healthy eyes
Healthy eyes don't need daily drops. Simply splash clean water, eat well, and rest your eyes from screens, just take proper sleep and that's all you need!
Take care! 😊
