Hello there,,,well there are number of reasons for foot pain as u have mentioned...however u need to specify weather it is heel pain or your entire feet is paining...also how is the pain is it dull or burning type?.... sometimes conditions vary from talgia to calcaneal spur which is a bony outgrowth(for which x ray is required).... many patients of heel pain whom i have treated had problems with faulty footwear...so modification of footwear with soft heel cushions along with setting of local ultrasound with diclofinac based gel usually brings relief in 5 settings along with stretching exercise for feet..however if the pain is severe and conservative modalities fail to bring relief.... steroid injection at the site of pain is considered.
Hope that answers your query.
Regards & take care.
What is the exact location of pain?.. If its at the heel and back, it can be plantarfascitis, generally occurs after a long rest, specially in the morning when you come down the bed...if its at the right side of ankle after any twisting of ankle while walking or something, there can be any ligament injury... If its at the mid of sole, it can be die to flat foot.
Next Steps
Go to a physiotherapist.. Ultrasonic therapy +wax therapy +some exercises(stretching/strengthening) will help.
Health Tips
At home.. Rest+hot water fomentation +pain killer gel +no long walk+no cold exposure.
Where is the location of pain? If it is over the sole.in the arch area then it maybe due to a flat foot which may be from a variety of reasons.
A proper examination and assessment by an Orthopaedic Surgeon will be more appropriate.
