My mother age 75 is diagnosed with oral thrush because of using voltido rotacap. The doctor asked her to apply candid mouth paint twice a day. Can she apply it directly on mouth? Is it safe to swallow or does she have to spit it out? Can someone help please?

Candid mouth paint is to be applied directly on infected areas in mouth but either with clean ear buds or clean finger..wash ur hands before and after use.. no water or eating anything atleast for 30-40 mins..she may swallow little bit which gets mixed with saliva which happens to every one and is harmless..but its better to spit out remaining after half an hour

It is not to be swallowed. After applying it, avoid eating and or drinking for 20 to 30 minutes.
Also 15 to 20 minutes after application, gargle mouth with water and spit it out.

Yes you can directly apply on mouth. Accidental swallowing is okk but you don't do intentionally. Don't drink or eat anything for 20 -30 mins after application.

The mouth paint in particular has been designed to be applied inside the mouth, so it is safe to be applied directly. No need to spit as it might remove the product from her mouth. To prevent oral thrush in future always ask her to rinse her mouth throughly after using rotocap to remove the steroid residues.
