CRP(C-reactive protein) is protein found in blood plasma and is synthesized by liver .
Function of CRP is promoting phagocytosis which clears necrotic apoptotic cells and bacteria .
Normal Concentration of CRP level is 0.8 to 3.0 mg/l .
CRP is used mainly as an inflammation marker . Measuring and charting CRP values can prove useful in determining disease progress or the effectiveness of the treatment
CRP is more sensitive and accurate reflection of the acute phase response than ESR

CRP IS A MARKER OF INFLAMMATORY PHENOMENON INSIDE BODY. It can raise in almost every disease especially infectious and inflammatory ones.
So no diagnosis can be made purely on the basis of CRP only.

high blood pressure.
high cholesterol.
smoking. Or any kind of infection in body, in current scenario crp level is seen high in covid patients , will require further tests to confirm diagnosis
