Typhoid & High CRP Level
My brother was suffering from Fever in morning and evening from 5 days. He was taking calpol 650mg for the fever. But we took him to the hospital and doctor ordered some blood test and urine test.
Urine Test Abrnormalities
> Protein - (Present)
> Microscipic Exam ( Red Cells ) - 10-12 / H.P.F
CRP results on first reporting day i.e 13/07/2024 - 102.30 mg/L, Typhoid results on 13/07/2024, Salmonella Typhi O - 1:160 & Salmonella Typhi H - 1:80
CRP results after staring 3 days of typhoid medicine i.e 16/07/2024 - 95.12 mg/L
CBC report is also normal, WBC is 7600 /cmm.
Currently he is on the same medication which started on 13/07/2024, Topcef O 200mg (1-0-1), Paracip 650 (1-1-1) & Panwok D Capsule ( 1-0-1). Now he has only fever and bodyache at evening only. With that he feels sleepy. No any other symptoms and he is having a good appetite. But the CRP levels are pretty much high, any serious complications due to high crp?. Or is it fine to have crp during typhoid.
