It's a non specific test.High sensitivity CRP high levels could be a predictor of coronary artery disease,but in correlation with other risk factors.If the doctor has specifically asked for this test , could be significant.

Hi, Why did you do a CRP test? What was the reason behind it. Do you have any symptoms of an illness? Are you checking the CRP after a previous high report? Is it a follow up crp? Were you recently admitted? Or did you do it because you can and it was part of an useless health check up package? If it's the latter, relax. Don't do the test again If it's the former, consult for a better understanding

I want to know what made you check crp It is a very non specific test,  useful only when Correlated with the patients symptoms It can be elevated in any infection and can remain elevated for a long time Kindly tell me whether you have any other complaints

CRP is a inflammatory marker . C reactive protein is non specific..It raises in many conditions starting from pregnancy tilll cancer . Need full history and case details to follow up the case .
