Hi doctor,
Recently I had RCT treatment. Can the canal seal fall off on its own before fixing the crown. Actually, canal filling done on Friday and crown fixed on Tuesday. I have pain if I eat soft food and little sensitive after drinking hot or cold water. How long it will take to settle. Now 10 days over after fixing the crown.
Your reply is valuable to me. Thank you so much.

After the rct is completed generally we go for crown after a week ,but if the pain is still persisting after 10 days of crown application might be it due to the high points or some times also the proximal contacts are too much tight that they refer the pain to adjacent teeth n areas
Next Steps
kindly remove these high points if any, also start applying gum massage which is mandatory after a crown application

Hello, if there is pain in the crown on eating, chances are there are high points. Get it checked in the clinic and the dentist will adjust the crown height a little more.
However, if there is sensitivity, then perhaps you should get an X ray done and check if there is anything amiss in the RCT.
First let me know whether Pain is after rct or after having crown ..second pain is continues or after chewing something...sensitivity might b because of accidendal trimming of adjacent tooth while cutting procedure for crown ..
Pain after crown cementation may be due to high contact point . For this u revisit d dentist and get it evaluated . If u have a post rct x ray u can forward the pick so that we can guide u .
At times rct pain last for a month , but it subsides gradually .
