I felt something (mostly a liquid) fell into my eye when was I was walking in the night as it was dark. Im scared that it may be bat saliva, although I didnt see any bat around. Do I need to take rabies vaccine if it was bat saliva? I can only assume as bats are very swift. Also, I saw in India, usually pep is not recommended in bat exposure, and since there was no bite, is it safe to not do anything?

Since the probable bat saliva fell on the mucous membrane of the eye it is better to take post exposure vaccination.besides that you suspect bats so clean the eye well and take vaccination
No need for vaccine.
Wash the eyes properly and throughly with water .
You need rabies vaccine if you have any cut, scratches or abrasions with pet or wild animals.
