My blood test reports are fine like vit d3, b12, thyroid, cbc, glucose everything is normal HB is 11 but I sleep for more than 12 hours and feel that I have slept properly. I am unable to get up before and if I get up, I get headache, acidity and stay drizzy I had melatonin tablet but it didn't work it effected my memory and I had modafinil also it made me stay up but the mind was not working. It was that I am up only and nothing else Any good doctor here?

I am Dr. Shamoon. Sleeping more than 12 hours and still waking unrefreshed, with headache, giddiness and acidity on waking, is not laziness and it is not "normal long sleeping" - that combination is the classic picture of non-restorative sleep, meaning the hours are there but the quality is not. Your blood tests being normal (thyroid, B12, D3, glucose, CBC with Hb 11) is useful because it rules out the usual metabolic causes, and it points the search towards the sleep itself. In a 28-year-old woman with your weight, the two conditions I would place at the top are obstructive sleep apnoea and delayed sleep phase syndrome. Morning headache and grogginess after very long sleep is quite characteristic of apnoea - repeated breathing pauses fragment the sleep and raise carbon dioxide overnight, so you wake with a heavy head no matter how long you stayed in bed. Snoring, gasping, dry mouth or nocturia would confirm the suspicion. Delayed sleep phase is the other: if you naturally fall asleep at 2-4 am and wake late, the body clock has simply shifted, and forcing an early wake-up produces exactly the wrung-out feeling you describe. Also worth naming honestly: hypersomnia is a very common face of depression in your age group, especially when it comes with poor concentration - the "mind not working" you describe even on modafinil fits that better than it fits a wakefulness problem. Two things concern me about what you have already done: melatonin taken at the wrong time (late at night rather than 5-6 hours before your target sleep time) does nothing and can leave you foggy, and modafinil is a prescription drug that should never be self-taken - it forces alertness without treating the cause, which is exactly what you experienced. Please stop it.
Next Steps
1) Stop modafinil and melatonin completely from today - both are muddying the picture and neither is treating the cause. 2) See a sleep medicine specialist, a pulmonologist or a neurologist and ask specifically for a sleep study (polysomnography). Given your weight of 74 kg at 5 ft 6 in with morning headaches, ruling out obstructive sleep apnoea is the single most important step, and no blood test can do it. 3) Before that visit, keep a 2-week sleep diary: time you get into bed, time you actually fall asleep, wake time, naps, and how refreshed you feel out of 10. Ask someone at home to note whether you snore, gasp, stop breathing or are restless. Take that diary with you. 4) Ask the doctor to add ferritin to your tests - a haemoglobin of 11 with normal CBC indices can still mean low iron stores, and low ferritin causes both daytime fatigue and restless legs that fragment sleep. 5) Fix the light cues meanwhile: bright daylight on your face within 15 minutes of waking, for 20-30 minutes; no screens for an hour before bed; fixed wake-up time 7 days a week even after a bad night; no daytime naps longer than 20 minutes; no caffeine after 2 pm. 6) For the morning acidity, keep the last meal 3 hours before bed and raise the head of the bed by 6 inches - night reflux itself breaks sleep repeatedly without you knowing. 7) Be open with your doctor about your mood, interest and energy - if low mood is part of this, treating it changes everything. 8) If you would like me to go through your reports, the sleep diary and your medicine history together and direct you to the right test, you can book a consult with me on Practo, or meet me at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj.
Health Tips
Please do not buy modafinil, armodafinil or sleeping tablets online again - they can cause serious rashes, blood pressure changes and dependence, and they mask a diagnosable condition. Seek prompt medical review if you have witnessed breathing pauses at night, fall asleep suddenly during the day or while riding, have severe morning headaches, or have any thoughts of self-harm. Avoid driving or riding when you feel drowsy.

Your symptoms — sleeping 12+ hours, feeling unrested, morning headache, dizziness, and HB of 11 — point to hypersomnia, possibly worsened by mild anemia. Even with normal thyroid/B12/D3, conditions like idiopathic hypersomnia, sleep apnea, or depression can cause this. Melatonin and Modafinil are not the right approach here.
Next Steps
Consult a sleep specialist or neurologist and consider a polysomnography (sleep study). Also address the anemia with iron supplementation under guidance. Avoid self-medicating. Consult me on Practo for further guidance.

This could be due to multiple causes. Consider these questions: Are you constantly in motion throughout the day? That can make you tired and fall asleep easily Are you snoring at night? If anyone notices this, think about sleep apnea which is a common cause of daytime somnolence Do you have any systemic disease like liver disease or chronic kidney disease? Are you on any regular prescription medications?
Next Steps
I would suggest checking bloods for serum ammonia, LFTs, Urea, creatinine, serum calcium, sodium ,potassium, blood sugar (random)
Health Tips
Avoid modafinil- it is used for ADHD (unlikely you have this)
