Recurrent painful pus-filled boils in the same area are usually a staph skin infection (recurrent furunculosis), and two things drive it: undiagnosed or poorly controlled diabetes, and staph carriage in the nose or skin folds. With your weight of 110 kg I would strongly advise checking fasting sugar and HbA1c first, along with CBC and haemoglobin. Please do not squeeze or prick the boils yourself. Apply warm compresses 3-4 times a day, keep the area clean and dry, use a separate towel, and wash clothes in hot water. If a boil is large, very painful or pointing, it needs proper incision and drainage by a doctor, and a pus culture will tell exactly which antibiotic works. Antibiotics should be taken only on prescription, and for recurrent cases we sometimes add a nasal mupirocin course and antiseptic wash to clear the carrier state. Go to a doctor urgently if you get fever, spreading redness up the leg, or the leg becomes swollen and very tender. You can consult me on Practo or at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj for examination and drainage if needed.
As a general surgery resident , i think u might have folliculitis, if u could tell how many times the boils came and where all else i can help u better , thank you
May be due to bacterial skin infection and abscess, so she should have an in person examination for drainage and culture and to assess underlying causes such as diabetes.
