My husband on good health had to undergo RCT post tooth abscess on right side 2nd last tooth. He was not given any medication neither prior to RCT nor after Ist sitting.Dentist told during first sitting that he had little internal bleeding so after cleaning put on temporary filling only. Two days later RCT was done and instructed combiflam in case of pain .He did not experience pain after first sitting but had to take combiflam twice in two days .He is now experiencing occassional dizziness after this could it be side effect of medication or the procedure itself? Also I wonder why wasn't he prescribed any anti-inflammatory medication prior to RCT and was performed ist sitting when it had deep infection.Could this result in failed RCT later?

Antibiotics along with analgesics has to be taken to relieve the pain and infection. Dizziness is due to nature /lengthy procedure. You can consult through this for further details.
Antibiotics doens't play a very major role in the outcome of the treatment. Major part is proper cleaning and disinfection. Whatever the Dr has taken steps in cas wid your husband rcf it's best taken with regards to the treatment
In General There is no need to take antibiotics prior to , during and after RCT
Analgesic are given only on having pain
Only few selected cases(1out of 100) require antibiotics and analgesics
Next Steps
Dizziness is not because of RCT
Consult physician
