What you are describing — clear discharge from the anus at night with intense itching — is classic for pinworm infection (medically called Enterobius vermicularis or Oxyuriasis). Female pinworms migrate to the anal area at night to lay eggs, causing exactly this itching and discharge. It is a very common and easily treatable condition. A single dose of antiparasitic deworming medication prescribed by a doctor is usually effective. Importantly, pinworms spread very easily through the fecal-oral route, so all household members should ideally be treated at the same time to avoid reinfection. Hygiene is equally important: wash hands thoroughly before eating and after using the toilet, keep nails trimmed short, wash bedsheets and underwear in hot water, and avoid scratching the area to prevent egg spread.
Next Steps
See a doctor to confirm the diagnosis and get the appropriate deworming medication prescribed. Treat all household members simultaneously. Follow strict hand and personal hygiene. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
