Having polycystic ovaries in scan alone does not mean you have PCOD. It also depends on your periods pattern, whether you have got excess hair growth in face and other parts of body, or hormone tests showing certain abnormalities .
Before putting down as pcod you need certain blood tests like Thyroid function, prolactin......to rule out other causes.
Obesity can cause PCOD and Pcod in turn can increase weight. It is a vicious cycle. Consult a gynaecologist to diagnose, plan of treatment and to prevent long term effects of PCOD if it is so.
