Patellar cartilage
4 month ago i have dislocated my left knee patellar. But it went back by itself at the same time . Console doc n took x- rays but nothing shown , aft swelling gone off i have discomfort in my knee . I find of a piece moving around my knee . Console doc again, took mri scan , it shows that a piece of patellar cartilage. Doc gave me 3 option. do surgery , physiotherapy or nothing. As my age is just 22+ . I wanna have a 2nd opinion. But still the small piece of cartilage going around my knee . Pain while going up or down stairs . Can't run . Its not me who used to be last time .what's your best advice can be ?

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

Hello  it depends on the severity actually..You may not require operation for now...You can go ahead with the physiotherapy and see how much it helps...Then you can think about the operation...Thank you
