Pain while extending post Acl surgery
I had ACL reconstruction surhery 36 days ago. Today I was doing physiotherapy for knee extension. Placing a folded towel below knee and flexing my quadriceps. I had a sharp pain on my knee when I reached maximum extension. I waited for a minute and tried again. It again occured sharply at the max extension. I am sending the location of the pain in a picture. Please suggest what should I do further. I have stopped activities. In resting it is not causing pain. pain in only coming when I extend and flex quads. It felt deep in knee and sharp. Please find the picture. Can it be screw pain? What should I do?

There is a chance of excessive strain on the screw and fixation during physio ... So I would suggest let this heal and pain subside. Do not push beyond pain. Take vitamin d injection and let it heal and restart physio later.
Next Steps
consult your surgeon too
Health Tips
take injection vitamin D

If the pain does not occur with rest...it should not be due to screw... As per your history ....it looks like a muscular pain with extension... Do you also get a feel of locking of knee...if not..I would suggest you to continue physio... If pain persist for a week .. Consult

Hello There is a possibility of pain after ACL surgery because the knee has been in a position of rest for a considerable period of time. You can experience pain because of the stiffness of the joint during the last of the terminal moments at full extension or maybe even flexion.Did you have any considerable swelling after this pain? Do you have any fever?
Next Steps
Would advise you to get an x-ray.Kindly consult for the details.
