Pain stiffness and pressure in anal area
It feels as if passing a little more stool would relieve the pressure, but no more stool comes out. I also have a dull aching pain and a feeling of pressure or tightness inside the rectal/anal area. My stool is generally soft, and I do not have bleeding

Your symptoms are suggestive of tenesmus, which may occur due to mild proctitis, an anal fissure, hemorrhoids, pelvic floor muscle spasm, or constipation. Maintain adequate hydration, take a high-fiber diet, avoid straining, and try warm sitz baths. If symptoms persist, worsen, or are associated with bleeding, fever, weight loss, or severe pain, consult a general surgeon or gastroenterologist for examination.

Hello. This constant feeling of pressure and incomplete evacuation is medically called tenesmus. Since there is no bleeding and stools are soft, it could be due to mild inflammation in the rectal lining or muscle spasms in the pelvic area.
Next Steps
Try taking warm sitz baths (sitting in warm water for 15-20 minutes) twice a day to relax the muscles and reduce the ache. Avoid straining or sitting on the toilet for too long.
Health Tips
Please consult a specialist for a physical evaluation to find the exact cause. You can book a direct consultation through my profile here, or reach out on WhatsApp at six three six nine four six zero five seven seven for guidance.

Soft stool with a feeling of not emptying completely is a common problem. It is medically called tenesmus. We need more information to decide on the root cause. To help tailor this advice, could you tell me: 1. How long have you been experiencing this issue? 2. Do you notice any other symptoms like abdominal cramping, mucus, or blood? 3. Do you have a personal history of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or any other gastrointestinal conditions?
