It is most probably viral infection. So wait for 2 days and do not take any antibiotics. Do take:
1. Painkiller. Zerodol-P - 1 tablet twice daily.
2. Warm saline gargle, three times daily.
3. Avoid cold drinks.
Betadine gargle add 3ml solution in hot to warm water gargle it before meals two times.
Zerodol sp three times after food for 3to5 days.
Azee500 one per day after food for 3to5 days. Montek lc one at night for five days
Have you had a cold or cough recently?
Please consult the General physician first, they will examine you and if needed then will suggest to go for an ENT doctor.
Stay Hydrated,stay healthy.
Hello,
Pain on one side of the throat, particularly while swallowing saliva, is known as odynophagia (painful swallowing).
Possible causes include tonsillitis, pharyngitis, a small throat ulcer, or local inflammation. Occasionally, a tonsil stone or a foreign body, such as a small food particle, may cause a pricking sensation.
Rarely, severe one-sided throat pain may indicate a peritonsillar abscess, especially if accompanied by fever, swelling, or difficulty opening the mouth.
A physical examination is necessary to identify the exact cause.
Next Steps
Consult an ENT specialist, as the pain is localised to one side. A general physician is also an appropriate first choice. Gargle with warm salt water 2â3 times daily. Maintain adequate hydration and consume soft, easily swallowed foods. Paracetamol may help relieve discomfort if you have no contraindications. Avoid starting antibiotics without examination, as many throat infections are viral.
Health Tips
Avoid smoking, very spicy foods, and excessively hot beverages until symptoms improve. Seek medical attention if you develop difficulty breathing, inability to swallow saliva, drooling, muffled voice, significant one-sided swelling, or difficulty opening your mouth. These symptoms may indicate a deeper throat infection requiring prompt treatment. My recommendation: An ENT consultation would be particularly suitable given your one-sided pain and pricking sensation. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Go for general physician or I suggest you to take azithromycin 500mg for three days and gargle of hot water or for further info you can consult from me thank you
Right-sided throat pain while swallowing saliva may be due to tonsillitis, a throat infection, or a local ulcer.
Please consult in detail for proper examination and diagnosis.
Health Tips
If you have difficulty swallowing, breathing difficulty, fever, or neck swelling, seek urgent medical attention.
One-sided throat pain that's sharp even when swallowing saliva usually points to pharyngitis or tonsillitis, most often from a viral or bacterial throat infection. A general physician is the right first stop here rather than an ENT, since this sounds like an infection, not a structural problem.
Next Steps
A physician can examine your throat and check if you need antibiotics, and your temperature plus how well you swallow liquids will help guide that. Warm saltwater gargles and warm, soft fluids can ease the discomfort meanwhile.
Health Tips
See an ENT instead if the pain keeps worsening, you develop drooling, cannot open your mouth fully, or have trouble breathing, since those need urgent evaluation.
