Pain in ankle joint
My friend(male-28years)had twisted his ankle yesterday and after that his ankle joint got swell and he had severe pain in his ankle. He also got a X-ray for that I am also attaching the image. But everything looks fine in the X-ray no sign of any crack or fracture, still he has lot of pain in his ankle and not able to walk. He is applying ointment on it but please help us and suggest what to do now, should we wait for some days so that swelling will go or should we go to a orthopaedic? Please help.

These X-rays are inadequate to comment about the injury and further treatment. Better to get evaluated from an orthopedic surgeon. You need further X-rays of ankle and foot. Even if there is no fracture, it is advisable to put the leg in a plaster cast to allows ligaments, tendons and other soft tissue structures to heal
Next Steps
Limb elevation, ice , rest and compression
