Pain and weakness POST HSG
Hello doctors, My sister got an HSG through anesthesia done yesterday around 7PM. Need to check if pain and weakness after 18-19 hours is normal and when tentatively can we expect her to be fine. Thanks

If the procedure is done properly the patient should have pain only for 1-2 hours. It was done under anaesthesia. So there is no question of a difficult procedure. I suppose she will be all right within 1-2 hours.

It depends on her pre procedure condition, and the method of hsg. Mild symptoms may take a day or two to resolve. Should consult if symptoms are troublesome, persistent and not relieved with medication.

She should be fine by now. Give her a painkiller which might have been suggested by the treating doctor and she can be mobile and have normal diet. She'll feel weakness if she's restricting her diet.
