Not feeling like doing anything
For the last couple of days, i am not feeling ljke doing anything. I am aware of what i have to do but i just don't feel like doing anything. I have tried to ponder over the reasons but haven't been able to resolve it. Due to this, my office work is suffering. I am just doing the extreme high priority things while neglecting the others. Even my personal work is suffering. I don't feel like interacting with my family. And i am irritated most of the time. I am feeling lonely and demotivated. I am binge watching a lot or either playing games a lot which I know are not the things that i should be doing. Please suggest something.

Hi practo user, This happens at some point in life when nothing sounds good, and even well intentioned suggestions from loved ones might make one little cranky. Often these feelings are normal , temporary triggered by work stress, busier than usual lifestyle , or there can be some other reason relating to personal life. But if loss of interest , apathy lasts longer than obviously needs medical help. There are number of good natural non habit forming medicines which help us bring back on track of life, restoring balance of our life energy. # accept it and move forward # give yourself permission to take some downtime. # relax in nature --- spend some more time in nature. # examine your feelings. # meditate / observe silence # connect with friends. # listen to music # try some easy chores # just check in with your needs ---- NOT MEETING OUR PHYSICAL OR EMOTIONAL NEEDS BRING APATHY IN LIFE. This is important factor involved. # book reading. # some creative activity.

Hi... Did you tried taking Therapy sessions? These kinds of issues are very easily addressable through Psychotherapy/Counselling. You can talk to your therapist in a confidential, non-judgemental, and controlled setting. Also, the therapist being a neutral and professional person can help you and guide you well.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. CBT along with Lifestyle Guidance is required.

Hi There I understand how you feel as it might seem as if you are caught in something that you are unable to get out of and you don't know what it is. Please note that you are not alone in this. It is good that you are aware of your feelings and want to get back on track. One way is to introspect the reason if any needs within you that are not satisfied or conflicts that you are unable to let go or the external factors such as tv, games are causing or aggravating this problem. Internal awareness can help you, you can try digital detox (cutting down distractions such as tv, games) to identify the root cause. I understand initially it might be difficult to cut down these distractions but it is not impossible. It could be easier for you if you could get the professional help of a counselor to vent out and find solutions. If you could find any friend or a family member who can non judgementally help you too it should be good. Remember that there are a lot of ways and help all around you, you always have the choice over your thoughts, feeling and behaviour. Certain things that you can do: * Take a break from your work, start exercising. * Avoid being lonely by conversing with friends or family. Staying together helps. * Go and stand in sunlight for 10 to 15 minutes in the morning. * Take healthy food * Log your activities (with no pressure or expectation) and appreciate yourself for completing little tasks. I wish you to get back to your old self and routine. Best Regards Joe Nisha Arvind
