My sister has been going through a lot of stress due to relationship problem this year
Things has been in good terms and bad terms with her boyfriend and friend.
They are having a lot of conflict.
Earlier it was ok but now it is taking a toll on her.
She is missing classes, not willing to do anything and skipping meals as well.
She wants thing to get better but she is also hopeless that anything will align anytime soon.
She feels like leaving college and coming back to home.
She constantly feels that no one actually cares foe her even when she is sharing how she feels person aren't validating her emotions and she is left alone everytime.

If a person's behaviour is impairing personal, social, education life , it indicates that some management Should be started. As you described there is an ongoing stressor, adjustment disorder can be considered.
