Hi ,
I have been a night shift employee for last 5 years and I spend most of my time sitting behind a desk in office. There are times when I have trouble falling asleep too. I have been doing some weight training since last year but I can still feel that I'm gaining weight. How can I maintain a healthy lifestyle and be in good shape even on night shifts.

Hello,
Please include a lot of protein rich foods and avoid more of carbohydrate based foods. Some protein sources include nuts, milk, curd, paneer, eggs, pulses/sprouts, mushrooms etc. Even in night shift, try to follow a regular eating and sleeping pattern each day. Do not eat heavy before sleeping. Have a lot of fluids such as buttermilk, tender coconut water, fresh fruit juices-sugarless, lime water etc. Drink 3 liters of water per day.
