Diet for night shift
Hello, I'm a software professional aged 22 years. It's been almost 1 year i started my career as a software employee. My major concern is that im putting on weight. From past 4 months I've been working nyt shifts. There is absolutely no idea why im putting on so much weight. If someone can suggest me a good workout plan according to my shift, i would be grateful I work from 10pm in the night to 7am in the morning. I'm planning to join gym and swimming, so suggest me a diet keeping my work timings in mind. Thanks a lot in advance.

I understand your concern. One of the major reasons for weight gain is skipping meals, starving oneself and indulging in unhealthy snacking. This slows down metabolism levels and leads to weight gain. For losing weight, you first need to set your metabolism levels and body clock right. You must:- a) Follow a strict dietary regime and set you body clock right by following the same timings every day b) Have 6-8 small but frequent meals and not skip meals c) Not compromise on nutrition while trying to lose weight
Next Steps
It's great that you are wanting to incorporate some physical activity in your daily routine by joining the gym. Have small frequent meals. Avoid foods that are high in fat and sugar. Have foods that are nutrient dense and not calorie dense. Include things like almonds, roasted sesame seeds, salads with a lemon dressing.
