It's excellent that you recognise your negative self-talk and thought patterns and are willing to change them. However, to address these thoughts, it is also important to address where they're stemming from and the root cause, for which I recommend counselling or therapy. Other than that, here's what you can do: 1) Recognise you're negative thought and challenge it with logic. 2) Practice gratitude and mindfulness. 3) Use distraction to focus on something else.

Visit a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist. Thoughts never can not be controlled. But it could be managed by learning some techniques. A clinical psychologist can help you to learn those techniques. Tips won't be helpful so don't waste your time.

Hello there human! It’s great that you’re able to recognize negative thoughts and reach out regarding the same. We appreciate your decision to seek assistance. Negative self-talk can be exhausting. While it seems impossible to control thoughts, it is very much possible. Here are some suggestions you can try out: Talk! Sharing your feelings and emotions with someone you love and trust may help. Actively replace negative thoughts with positive ones. Even if your mind goes to a dark place, convince yourself to eliminate irrational thoughts. Keep yourself busy by doing things you like. Stay physically healthy. Eat well, drink enough water, get enough rest and stay fit. Maintain a diary of how you feel in a day and list the things you’re grateful for. (There are some apps for this too!)
Next Steps
If your negative thoughts worse, or begin to have an adverse impact on your everyday life, I would recommend seeing a medical professional. Consult a counselling psychologist so they can assess your problem and help you treat it.
