Okay, I understand you’re noticing some gaps between your teeth. First, I’ll need to check you clinically and also get a full mouth X-ray called an OPG. This will help me see your teeth, roots, and bone properly and also check if there’s any hidden issue before we plan your treatment.
For closing the gaps, you have a few options:
1. Metal braces—these are the classic ones, visible but strong and effective, especially if the case is a little complex.
2. Ceramic braces—they work the same as metal but are tooth-colored, so they look better, but they can be a bit delicate.
3. Clear aligners—these are invisible trays, very comfortable and removable, but they need to be worn 20-22 hours daily, and they work best for mild to moderate gaps.
One important thing—you might hear people say braces are permanent, but that’s only true if you wear your retainer properly after treatment. Once we finish closing the gaps, I’ll give you a retainer to hold everything in place.
If you wear that as I advise, your teeth will stay in their new position and you won’t have to worry about gaps coming back.”
