Hello
When braces treatment is going patients tend to have ulcers
Since she is new to the treatment kindly give sometime slowly slowly she will get used to it
In braces treatment tramatic ulcers are common. If it is because of any projections on the wire or brackets(button like metalic part on the tooth) you can use ortho wax on the sharp areas. It will help you from trauma by sharp edges.
Next Steps
Try to adjust with ortho wax. This you will get from your dentist itself or you will get from online sites. And if it is unbearable and you need to quit. There is one more option, that is clear aligner. Which is transparent and you can search in YouTube videos. This doesn't hurt. But cost in little more
Health Tips
While doing ortho treatment try to maintain a good oral hygiene, because most of the surface is covered with wire so food will stuck . So brush twice daily. And in proper way.
Hello!
It's normal and common issue, any sharp edges of wire will be corrected by your orthodontist,in case of brackets issues dental wax will be provided by your orthodontist
Hi,
It is normal to get mouth ulcers in the initial stages of braces. Apply Orthodontic wax aver the braces where the ulcer is developing. Visit your Orthodontist and inform him about the areas of ulcers.
Finding the cause of sores in mouth is important.. it’s usually the sharp wire ends which needs to be trimmed.. or we can also give relief waxes if something is poking and causing sores in mouth.. for better understand it’s better to book an appointment for a check up to find the cause..
thank you regards.
