A prior biopsy showing moderate chronic colitis does not mean you already have cancer - long-term, extensive colitis can raise colorectal-cancer risk over years, but it is not an immediate conversion. Your current 2-day history of vomiting, diarrhea, and weakness suggests a flare or an infection (Clostridioides difficile is important to rule out in people with colitis).
Next Steps
Start oral rehydration, get urgent tests - CBC, electrolytes, stool tests including C. difficile toxin/PCR and stool culture - and contact your gastroenterologist for early review; if you have high fever, severe abdominal pain, bloody stools, or fainting, go to the hospital. If your colitis is confirmed as long-standing IBD, you will need a surveillance plan (periodic colonoscopy with biopsies) rather than one-time cancer worry. Book a consult on Practo so we can review reports and arrange the right tests.

Your past history is important. A colonoscopy has been done, but the type of colitis is not histopathologically mentioned. Presently you can continue with a bland, spice-free diet. Definitely there is no sign of cancer, etc., presently.
Next Steps
come with fressh stool examinantion

1. What “moderate chronic colitis” really means It describes inflammation in the colon seen under the microscope. -Your biopsy did not show dysplasia (pre-cancer) or cancer, otherwise the report would have stated that explicitly. -Chronic inflammatory bowel disease (like ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s) can slightly raise the long-term risk of colon cancer, but that risk builds up over years, not a few months. --- 2. Your current episode -Vomiting and diarrhea starting suddenly sounds much more like an acute infection (viral or food-borne gastroenteritis) or possibly a flare of your colitis, not cancer. -Colon cancer almost never causes abrupt vomiting and watery diarrhea within days. --- 3. What to do right now At home (if symptoms are mild): -Keep sipping oral rehydration solution (ORS) or clear liquids to prevent dehydration. -Eat bland foods only when you can tolerate them. Seek medical attention promptly if you notice: -Blood in stool, high fever, or severe abdominal pain -Inability to keep fluids down -Dizziness, faintness, or very little urine A doctor can: -Check basic blood work and stool tests to look for infection or a flare. -Review your colonoscopy and pathology report in detail. -Decide if you need medicines (for infection, inflammation, or to control symptoms). 4. Long-term follow-up If you have confirmed inflammatory bowel disease, most guidelines recommend repeat colonoscopy every 1–3 years starting about 8 years after diagnosis. The key to lowering cancer risk is good control of inflammation and keeping up with those scheduled surveillance scopes.
