M27suffering dry scalp flaking hairfall
Hi i have been have hairfall like around 60-70 in a day not much but considerable high
I visited dermatologist he told that this is not any sign of male pattern baldness because crown area and sides are normal
Instead of identifying root cause he gave me minoxidil, finasteride and all that
I do know that they dont have any major side effects but its temporary untill we use it ,it works and does not address the root cause
So i did blood test on my own ,and I was surprised everything is normal

Vitamin d and b12 , were they normal. Usually there is a condition called telogen effluvium it cause by multiple reasons…in the past 6 months if you had illness which made you sick for a week , if your suffering from any chronic disorder . Your esr is high thst means some inflammation is going on ehich is long term and crp which is acute phase reactant . So wee need mire history to know the root cause .

Hello. Dryness, flaking and dandruff is more common in the winters. There is no one particular “root” cause for dandruff, it is a multifactorial condition. But it can be treated based on the history and the severity of it. The hair fall of 60-70 seems in the normal range. Unless you have thinning of hair over the scalp no need to worry about that.
