Lung maturity injection
Hello I am now 28 weeks Ivf pregnant. i want to know Is it mandatory to have lung maturity injection during Ivf pregnancy? My delivery doctor is not interested about the injection but my Ivf centre suggest me to have lung maturity injection before delivery. So I want to know after how many successfully passing weeks it’s safe to not have the injection and have safe delivery.

Its not necessary for ivf pregnancy but your doctor is just being cautious so that the prognosis is good. There is no harm in taking the injections

Your IVF Doctor knows how much money you have spent on IVF. So under no circumstances he will like to lose this baby. He always thinks of eventualities where a preterm Caesarean may be life saving for the baby. So he will like that you should always be covered for the lung maturity of the baby, in case an unplanned Caesarean has to be done at odd hours.
Your Obstetrician who is looking after you now is hopeful that "nothing will happen".
I suggest you should have the injections for lung maturity of the baby at 33 weeks.

If there is a chance that u may go into preterm labour
It's better that u go for the steroid injections for fetal lung maturity
