Dear patient,
A lump in the underarm that has been present for 2 years, with occasional pain, should not be ignored.
This could be due to several reasons such as:
• Enlarged lymph nodes (due to infection or other causes)
• Lipoma (fatty tissue growth)
• Sebaceous cyst or abscess
• Rarely, it could be something more serious like a tumor.
Health Tips
Note: Since it’s been there for 2 years and sometimes painful, it’s important to rule out chronic infections or other conditions that may need treatment.
Take care wishing you a speedy recovery!

Next Steps
It's better to get an ultrasound of the axillary and FNAC study just to be sure of its nature.
