Lump under nipple
I am a 22 year old male. I have noticed a small lump under my left nipple that has been there for the past few days. It has remained stable and hasn't reduced in size or gone away. Could this be gynecomastia, or could it be something else?

In a young man, a small tender lump directly beneath the nipple is commonly pubertal gynecomastia, but examination is needed to distinguish it from a cyst or other lesion. Do not squeeze it; note tenderness, size and any nipple discharge. Please see a physician if it enlarges, is hard or fixed, one-sided without tenderness, or has discharge; ultrasound and selected hormone tests may be needed. You're right that this could be gynecomastia, which is a small patch of breast tissue that grows from normal hormone shifts. It's common in young men and often settles on its own. A lump still needs to be felt by a doctor before you can be sure what it is.
