Hello ma'am,
My advice would be to avoid levocetrizine and any other nasal decongestants.
Use steam inhalation for relief instead and regarding your ear and nose blockage, it can be due to viral fever spreading these days.
You can get an ENT opinion and a fever profile if fever does not subside.
Avoid Levocetrizine dear as much as possible.
-Have warm water intake on regular basis.
-Have haldi and ginger boiled in water and have of cup of it before sleep.
-Take adequate rest
-Stay hydrated
Consult ENT physically if the problem persists
It is quite common to lose sense of smell and taste when having a cold
Not to worry, continue the medicines you are taking
Take steam inhalation every 4-5 hours
Consume teaspoons of honey every day twice
Stay hydrated
Rest well
It is common to lose smell and taste during viral infections, especially with cold or flu-like symptoms. As you are 23 weeks pregnant, it is crucial to take only safe medications. The medications you've mentioned (levocetirizine and Sinarest) are typically used for allergies and cold symptoms, but if they haven't worked, here are a few recommendations:
- Try steam inhalation 2-3 times a day. This can help unblock the nasal passages and provide relief.
- Continue taking plenty of fluids and rest as much as possible.
- Saline nasal sprays are safe during pregnancy and may help ease the nasal congestion.
- For ear blockage, avoid blowing your nose forcefully as it may worsen the pressure. Gentle nose blowing may help.
- Avoid over-the-counter decongestants unless prescribed by your healthcare provider, as some may not be safe during pregnancy.
