She's 5 ft and is 36kg. No ailment. Only mild neuralgia on the forehead. Lab tests-- VitD 14. Haemoglobin 11.7
RBC 4.04. PCV 35.4. TSH 6.41. Serum Sodium 133.
My concern is why is she losing weight with symptoms of mild hypothyroidism..?She is also taking Telzy 20 mg twice a day and her BP is monitored.
All her other lab tests are normal. Her appetite is good and she is very active too. Her magnesium is good. Should she check her B12 too?
Please kindly advice
Thanks

There may be multiple reasons for weight loss - as her TSH was low means she may be having hyperthyroidism or may be there is some other issue also... It can be told like this only, need to go for a proper consultation and history and necessary test as per cause to diagnose the real culprit
Vit d is low.other things is under control.you not mention b12 deficiency symptoms like numbness, weakness, diziness here.go for b12 test and better if you visit nearby hospital for physical examination by endocrinologist.

There is sarcopenia ( loss of muscle mass ) in elderly people . People of this age group are usually sedentary and loose muscle more so. Elevated TSH can be seen in this age group which is physiological if there are no symptoms of hypothyroidism.
Increase protein intake in foods and ask her to be more active .
