Feeling severe pain on the left back shoulder and left arm till fingers...very painful at night... unable to sleep

I agree with my colleague. Try to Maintain your neck in neutral posture. You mention your age to be 23 years. It is unlikely that in the absence of specific risk factors, you are dealing with something very serious. But it needs to be evaluated as you mention severe pain causing disturbed sleep. I would advise you to take a proper consult.
