Knee pain,
My mother-in-law has knee pain from last month & unable to walk . Her orthopaedic suggested x-ray & BMD. but even after medications, still she is suffering from regular pain. I attached her prescription. Please examine it and suggest me Is the doctor treated her in the right way.? Or she needs any other medications and tests.? Please suggest me the correct reason of her pain..

Definately patient is overweight and she need to reduce weight to unload the knees. but foremost important thing is to reduce pain. to reduce pain I will advice u to go for physiotherapy as soon as possible. With physiotherapy her pain may reduce within 3 days n then strengthing n stretching protocol to be started followed by weight reduction protocol.
