Knee and left leg swelling
Hello Doc, I am feeling swelling only  in left leg and knee. I went to orthopaedic and they asked me for basic test including uric acid. Reports are normal but there is pain in knee area. What might caused it and how much time it will take to subside. I am an it employee.

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. Need to examine your knee and leg to comment better Swelling can be due to many reasons , uric acid is ruled out , there is no history of trauma , Avoid massage .

Was there any injury or long tune walking/standing/travelling? Swelling in only knee or leg? Leg upto midleg or upto ankle? Pain relieving and worsening factors?

Even if your blood tests are normal there might be number of reasons for the pain. So kindly discuss with your orthopaedic doctor and decide regarding further treatment plans.

If your knee is examined thoroughly and suspected of some issues it is not necessary that it is normal if the blood test are normal.. There are different entities which can cause knee pain and swelling..And the time taken for those to subside differ in different conditions.. Kindly follow your clinicians advice..
