Persistent swelling after a fracture is common. It is called complex regional pain syndrome which is caused due to imbalance in blood circulation to the affected limb after prolonged immobilisation of the limb due to fracture.
Next Steps
Continue physiotherapy. Keep the affected leg up most of the time. Active exercises of the affected joints will help the swelling reduce. Take Tab Chymoral AP three times a day for a week after food.
Health Tips
If swelling persists for even longer, it might require further investigations.
