Metatarsal fracture recovery
I suffered from fracture base at 5th metatarsal in January 1st week. And my leg in plaster for 4 weeks. After removing cast on 31 jan 18 , i started walking in next week. But now still have little bit pain while walking( long distance). Also some swelling appear on feet at evening, but its normal at morning( no swelling). Doctor given some exercise . Please suggest how long this pain & swelling remain .

5th metatarsal fracture needs 6 weeks of casting.
Next Steps
Now that the plaster is out, try not to bear wieght for additional 2 weeks. Keep lower limb elevated and apply ice packs locally .
