Recovery depends on lots of factors like his age, body weight, mobility, bone quality & healing.
He should start weight bearing as per the advice of the operating surgeon
If he follows a good diet and does his mobility exercises he should be able to walk
Next Steps
Discuss with the operating surgeon regarding when to start walking. Start it with a walker support and also make him do physiotherapy
