Kawasaki disease with increased patlet
Daughter treated with kawasaki given IVIG and continue asprin but platlet count increased 12 lac further decreased to 6lac also neutrophils count decreased in range 30- 33and lymphocytes increased in range 55- 65. What I can do

Hi , in Kawasaki disease platelets do increase in the initial phase of the infection. With treatment it will decrease .it will take atleast 2-3 weeks for the platelets to come to normal after ivig treatment. Ur have taken the right treatment. Continue aspirin until further orders from ur treating paediatrician . Platelets will decrease , don’t worry.
