Thank you for sharing the image and explaining clearly 🙏 I can understand how uncomfortable **severe itching** can be — especially when it affects sleep and daily life. ### What it looks like (from the image + symptoms) The picture shows: * Dry, rough, reddish skin over elbow * Small raised bumps * Thickened skin texture from scratching This pattern is **most consistent with**: 👉 **Eczema-type dermatitis / allergic dermatitis** (Ayurvedically: **Pitta-Vata dominant skin disorder**, sometimes worsened by dryness, heat, soap, stress) It does **NOT** look like fungal infection (no ring, no sharp margins). --- ## Immediate relief plan (SAFE & EFFECTIVE) ### 🌿 1️⃣ External application (VERY IMPORTANT) #### **Option A (best Ayurvedic oil)** *****Tailam** * Apply **thin layer** on affected areas * **Twice daily** * Leave it on (do not wash immediately) 👉 Reduces itching, redness, and heals skin barrier. **OR** #### **Option B (if oil feels heavy)** ********* Keram / ***Tailam** * Twice daily application --- ### 🌿 2️⃣ Internal medicine (to stop itching from inside) #### *****Rasayan** * **1 tablet twice daily** * After meals * With lukewarm water Very effective for **chronic itching & allergic skin problems**. --- ### 🌿 3️⃣ If itching is severe at night Add: ******** * 10 ml with equal water * **After dinner** --- ## What to AVOID strictly ❌ * Hot water bathing * Soap on affected areas (use only plain water or mild cleanser) * Scratching (cuts healing cycle) * Tea, coffee, alcohol * Very spicy or fried food * Detergent contact (use gloves if needed) --- ## Diet support (helps faster healing) * Plenty of water * Lauki, pumpkin, bottle gourd * Rice, moong dal * Avoid eggs & seafood for now --- ## When to see a doctor urgently Please consult in person if: * Pus or oozing starts * Fever develops * Rapid spreading * Severe swelling or pain --- ## Expected improvement * **Itching reduces in 3–5 days** * **Redness improves in 1–2 weeks** * Complete healing in **3–4 weeks** if consistent --- ### Very important question (please reply): 1️⃣ Does he have **asthma / allergy / sinus issues**? 2️⃣ Is this problem **worse in winter or after bathing**? 3️⃣ Any history of **diabetes**? This will help me **fine-tune the treatment** for faster and permanent relief 🌿 Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Severe itching with redness on hands, legs, and elbows is commonly seen in conditions like allergic dermatitis, eczema, urticaria, or fungal infection. In Ayurveda, this is usually related to Kandu, Vicharchika, or Pitta–Kapha imbalance. Below is general Ayurvedic guidance (supportive, not a substitute for clinical examination): Ayurvedic Medicines (Only under Ayurvedic doctor’s supervision) Commonly Used Internal Medicines Gandhak Rasayan – Helps in itching, allergies, and skin purification Khadirarishta – Useful for chronic itching and skin redness Mahamanjishthadi Kwath / Tablet – Blood purifier, reduces inflammation Arogyavardhini Vati – Helps detoxification and skin healing Neem (Nimba) capsules – Anti-allergic and antibacterial ⚠️ Exact medicine and dose depend on age, severity, and cause. External (Local) Ayurvedic Applications Neem oil or coconut oil + camphor (very small amount) – Apply gently Aloe vera gel (fresh or pure) – Soothes itching and redness Turmeric + coconut oil paste – If no oozing or open wounds 👉 Avoid scratching, as it worsens itching. Diet & Lifestyle (Very Important) ❌ Avoid: Spicy, oily, fried food Sour foods (pickles, curd at night) Excess sugar, bakery items Alcohol and smoking ✔ Prefer: Light, home-cooked food Warm water Green vegetables, bottle gourd, pumpkin Moong dal, rice, chapati Simple Home Remedies Neem leaves water for washing affected areas Oatmeal bath (if itching is severe) Keep skin clean and dry When to Seek Immediate Medical Help Severe swelling, burning, or pain Oozing, cracks, or infection Fever or spreading rash If itching persists >7 days Important Note If itching is sudden, severe, or spreading, or if the patient has diabetes or immune issues, proper diagnosis is essential before starting medicines. If you want, you can tell me: Age of patient Since when symptoms started Any discharge or dryness History of allergy I can then guide you more precisely 🌿

Hello madam In Ayurveda, we usually do not prefer creams. Instead, medicated oils or herbal applications are advised Still you prefer a cream "calamine lotion" better He has increased body heat, Avoid exposure to any chemicals. Maha Manjisthadi Kashayam Histablock tablet will help reduce itching and redness.
