It is a benign condition with periods of more or less irritation or complete remissions intermittently. Treatment is focused at relieving the symptoms of pain/ irritation depending upon their severity. No, there is no known complete cure for this condition. Since correlation to stress and lifestyle has been observed, it makes sense to review lifestyle and incorporate modifications to reduce stress. Micronutrient supplements like vit B complex, vit c etc are helpful.
