Infection below teeth, swelling in gums
Hi I had root canal done on my upper front tooth 11 years back to fix cut. Last month developed swelling in that area, so consulted dentist. There was puss n blackening of bone below it. Doctor advised CT scan. He advised for surgery to remove infected bone, do root canal on 2 teeth and fix plate there as it's too close to nasal cavity. Is there other way to avoid surgery n fix this?? Currently I'm under medication for same.

No treatment other then surgery because this blackening of bone in simole words means bone is dissolved in pus and it is week now. So pus and infection is removed by surgery and to root canal or to fix plate can only be told after reports or may be xray which is not attached. To save bone from further destruction go for surgery

U continue taking a medication and get your opg done ... Treatment plan will depend on the opg findings and the infected tooth has to be removed

Pain is probably because of impacted teeth and might need removal depending on your x ray findings
Next Steps
Get an OPG xray done
