Increased Hairfall and thinning
I'm 27M with excessive hair fall, hair thinning and receding frontal hairline. Started topical Minoxidil + Finasteride 22 days ago; currently using nightly as per doctor's advice.
Also have significant daytime sleepiness despite sleeping 12 AM–7/7:30 AM. Sometimes on holidays, i need 1–2 hr naps before lunch and feel sleepy again around 3–4 PM. Occasionally snore.
Previous TSH was ~6.5 (upper limit ~5) several months ago. Vitamin D is consistently low.
I have sickle cell trait. Long back, A doctor had advised lifelong Folic Acid 5 mg, but I stopped 1 month ago. Currently taking Follihair A once daily.
Should I get CBC, ferritin, iron profile, B12, Vitamin D, TSH test as my Dr hadn't advised any test ?
Should I take iron (Sharkoferrol/Ferrodol) or D3 60K weekly?
Should I continue Minoxidil + Finasteride as i read that it needs to be used permanently but i'm worried about its side effects by using in young age and thinking of tapering it gradually and replacing with something else.
