Hello, Thank you for reaching out. Since your hemoglobin is still low even after a transfusion and you’re taking supplements, it’s important to review the root cause — especially as you’re dealing with uterine fibroids and ongoing bleeding. Along with medication, a few personalized dietary and Ayurvedic strategies can help improve your hemoglobin more effectively. To suggest the right approach, I’d need to understand your full medical history, current medications, and reports. I recommend booking a consultation so I can guide you in a more tailored and safe way. Wishing you strength and recovery, Dr. Arisha Ayurveda Consultant

To increase hemoglobin fast, continue iron tablets and Dexorange with Vitamin C. Eat iron-rich foods like spinach, dates, and pomegranate. Avoid tea/coffee near iron intake. Take folic acid and B12 if advised. Most importantly, control fibroid-related bleeding effectively. Consult for personalized care.

According to Ayurveda , fibroid is not just as a local growth, but as a metabolic and systemic imbalance. This is also connected to improper Agni [ digestive and metabolic fire]. It represents all form of transformation. As you have uterine fibroid there may have fatty liver . Due to improper agni iron absorption may reduce.
Next Steps
Initially arrest the bleeding and correct the cause
Health Tips
consult for proper medication

Your hemoglobin of **8 g/dL** after a **blood transfusion** indicates **moderate anemia**, and since the **bleeding is due to uterine fibroids**, the first priority must be to **control the bleeding** to prevent further loss. You're already doing several right things (iron tablets, Dexorange, fruits, etc.), but here's a focused, **multi-step plan** to increase your hemoglobin **more effectively and quickly**: --- ## 🔴 1. **Stop Further Blood Loss – Top Priority** Your efforts to raise hemoglobin will be limited if bleeding continues. * **Gynecological Management:** Since you’re already taking medicine for fibroids, make sure it’s working. If not, consult your gynecologist about: * **Tranexamic acid** (anti-bleeding medicine) during periods. * **Hormonal treatment** (e.g. progesterone or GnRH analogues). * **Non-surgical options** like **Uterine Artery Embolization (UAE)** to shrink fibroids. * **Ayurveda options** also exist (shared below). ## 🩸 2. **Improve Iron Absorption** You're taking iron, but absorption matters as much as intake. ### ✅ Do: * Take **iron tablets/syrup on an empty stomach** (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals). * Take with **Vitamin C**: Squeeze **lemon** in water or eat an orange with your iron dose. ### ❌ Avoid with iron: * Tea/coffee within 2 hours (they block iron absorption). * Calcium-rich foods (milk, curd, paneer) around iron intake. --- ## 🥗 3. **Best Iron-Rich Foods** (Absorbable form) Try to **eat every 3–4 hours**, mixing raw and cooked sources. ### 🔥 High-Iron Foods (Absorbable): * **Black raisins** (20–30 soaked overnight) * **Dates** (2–3 daily) * **Beetroot & pomegranate juice** (alternate days) * **Cooked green leafy veg**: Spinach, moringa leaves, amaranth. * **Jaggery with ghee** (1 tsp daily) * **Til (black sesame)** and **garden cress seeds** (halim/aliv) ### 🍲 Easy Ayurvedic Recipe: **"Iron-Rich Laddu"** * Roasted garden cress seeds + jaggery + ghee + almond powder. * Take 1 laddu daily. --- ## 🌿 4. **Effective Ayurvedic Medicines for Hemoglobin** These **build blood and improve digestion** (for absorption): 1. **Consult us for details** – 2 tabs twice daily after meals 2. **Consult us for details** – 2 tsp with water after meals 3. **Consult us for details** – 1 tab twice daily (if digestion is weak) 👉 Take under guidance of an Ayurvedic doctor, especially if you're already taking iron tablets. --- ## ⛔ 5. **Avoid These Common Mistakes** * Skipping doses due to nausea — take iron at bedtime or with lemon water. * Taking calcium/iron together — space them by 4–6 hours. * Eating only raw fruits — cooked sources (leafy greens, dates, jaggery) often absorb better. --- ## 💪 6. **Monitor Progress** * Retest Hemoglobin **every 3–4 weeks**. * A healthy rise is **1–2 g/dL per month**, if bleeding is controlled and intake is proper. --- ## Bonus: Ayurvedic Medicine for Fibroid-Related Bleeding (if not yet taking) * **Consult us for details** – 2 tsp with equal water after meals * *Consult us for details* – 2 tabs twice a day * *Consult us for details* – 1 tab twice a day (for excessive bleeding) These help **shrink fibroids and balance hormones** naturally. --- ### ✅ Summary Action Plan | Task | Details | | ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Control Bleeding | Follow up with gynecologist; consider Ayurvedic support (Consult us for details) | | Iron Absorption | Add Vitamin C, avoid tea/coffee near iron, no calcium with iron | | Diet | Dates, raisins, beetroot, jaggery, green veg, til, halim seeds | | Ayurveda | Consult us for details | | Monitor | Check Hb every 3–4 weeks | --- Would you like a **sample diet chart or Ayurvedic prescription** based on your current food habits? I can also help plan it around your medication schedule. Consult us for details Avoid self Medication.
