Have foods rich in iron ( Fe), folic acid ( vitamin b9) and vitamin c such as bananas, dates, citrus fruits, dark green leafy vegetables especially palak and sorrel leaves for more iron...nuts, whole grain cereals, bran, seasonal local grown fruits and vegetables etc..
Have vitamin c foods for more iron bioavailability..

well balanced diet , healthy lifestyle modifications, exposure to sun, 8 to 10 glasses of water in a day, good sleep , regular eating habits, no to outside junk,fast, processed and packaged foods, low gi foods, moderate protein, low fat etc..are essential
Include foods like green leafy vegetables , dates, Jagger, channa , makhana , resins in diet. If you prefer non veg include it in your meals so good quality iron which is better absorbed can be taken. Always have a orange , Mosambi , guava , amla along with your iron rich food.
Don't forget the protein part as to improve HB just iron won't be sufficient you need the right amount of protein too.
