Hw 2raise HB in pregnancy

Am 37 weeks pregnant. My HB is 10.6. Am taking iron and calcium tablets. Stil HB haven't improved. Apart from medicines how to increase HB naturally from home food.

Hai there. First of all congratulations that you are going to be a mother in a very couple of weeks. There is nothing much to worry about. you are just near to normal range of hb. You can continue taking your iron supplements and try taking it with orange juice or lemon juice as it contains vitamin c in it which helps in rapid iron absorption. Simultaneously, do not take calcium supplements or milk when you take iron tablets as it works in contradiction to vitamin c. If you are a non vegetarian you can opt for organ meat like liver which gives you ample of dietary iron. Dates, semi cooked spinach and other green vegetables, raisins can also be added to the diet along with vitamin c rich foods like orange, lemon, guava, kiwi.

Hello.... First of all cause for low hemoglobin should be identified and supplement should be given accordingly.... Anyhow she is 37 weeks now.. Now doctor may give her iron infusion if it's iron deficiency anemia if it's not blood has to be transfused during delivery considering blood loss. Get all blood test done to know the cause.
