Hello, Thank you for the query. Will surely help you. With some healthy lifestyle changes and proper diet, you can focus on increasing your haemoglobin level during your pregnancy. Some tips to improve your Hb and overall health are: - Include good amount of iron rich food in your diet like green leafy vegetables, dates, sesame seeds, pomogrenate seeds etc. Add Vitamin C rich sources like lemon or tomatoes to increase iron absorption in the body. - Include good quality proteins in your diet like eggs, beans & legumes, soya etc. - Don't skip any meals and consume small and frequent meals throughout the day and maintain portion sizes. - Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. -Get yourself proper rest and sleep. Minimize stress levels. Hope this information helps. For a customised diet plan through an online or an in-person consultation, you can reach out to me via practo or on www.vasundhara.me . Thanks

Some hemodilution is normal during pregnancy due to the increased blood volume.  It is important to take iron rich foods (from plant sources) along with vitamin C  as it enhances iron absorption.  All dark green leafy vegetables can be cooked in tomatoes or lime juice to improve iron absorption. Sesame seeds, dates, pomegranate etc can be included in the diet.  Consider including an egg in your daily diet as it's also a source of high quality protein and iron. Please contact directly through practo for a customized diet plan for pregnancy

Hello, Iron absorption is better with vit c.  Including more green leaves,  watermelon seeds 2 yep each day,  prunes, beetroot  can be helpful . Consume lime water or mosambi  after the intake of these for better absorption.  As you  are pregnant pls check with your concerned doctor. If you are on Iron tablets already.

Hi, Haemoglobin generally drops as the pregnancy advances however it should not drop below 10.5- 11. Unless you are Thalessemic minor. Eat whole grain cereals like Bajra with little Jowar added, Red poha, Watermelon, Dark green leafy vegetables. Have lemon water with your meals for better absorption of iron.
