I want to be able to be happy again
I am unable to sleep properly since 3-4 months. I keep over thinking specially at night. I am worried about the future. Mostly worried about my parents. My parents don't have a good relationship with each other. I keep thinking about negative things that will happen to my family and I am not helping them in any way. I start crying for small things. I need help to be happy again

Hello practo user I can understand your concerns regarding your family and their well being and also your future . It seems that you are unable to express your emotions in a healthy manner which is leading to your disturbed sleeping patterns. It is suggested that you maintain a better sleep hygiene which can include- avoiding heavy meals and caffeine at night , limiting your usage of phone / laptop / TV in the evening , try and have a warm shower and a relaxing tea or warm milk , practice deep breathing or guided meditation for better sleep as it will help calm the negative thoughts. Try and talk to your family members and spend quality time engaging in activities which you all enjoy . It is advisable that you seek help from a clinical psychologist for a better understanding of your case and formulation of a treatment plan through which you can learn healthy coping strategies and skills. You can also reach out to me through the practo app for any further help or guidance.
Next Steps
consult a clinical psychologist
