Dear practo user,may I know that how did you come to know that you have bipolar disorder and who suggested you that you have to take medication...After assessment we can tell you whether you need medicine or just counselling is enough. Please don't start medication right away with out taking proper guidance...Most of issues can be resolved just with counselling itself..

Hello, if you are having bipolar disorder and if you already having 2 episodes then you definitely need medications. Dont believe quacks they will just make your life miserable and nobody hoing to help you if you develop active manic or depressive stage except Psychiatrist.So please consult Psychiatrist and follow the advise given by him.He will solve all your issues and if your compliance is good then you probably need only single medication.
